WØAVQ Contesting Page
For the people who enjoy a little competition in their lives, Ham Radio affords plenty of opportunities.
There are contests based on location, mode, frequency, and power output.
Most contests are annual affairs but there are some that happen weekly.
Of course, the premier event is Field Day which is a combination of open house,
emergency communications drill, and the Super Bowl, all in one neat package.

In my opinion the #1 site for contesting information is the WA7BNM Contest Calendar which has information on contesting, from the more obscure ones, up to the international ones. He posts dates, times, and links to any websites with information on rules and information on log submissions.

Representative of the contests that appeal to me (other than Field Day) are the

Logging it all
In my opinion, N3FJP has some of the best, and most diverse logging software out there. You can try them all before you buy, and there is a package deal to buy them all for a seriously reduced price. Further, there are lifetime upgrades when you buy.
